A WARM WELCOME
Apartment Starry Sky
The nightly view through the skylight gave this apartment its name. Our guests often wonder how it can be so quiet around here. If you pay attention, you sometimes hear a deer calling, otherwise you can only hear the quiet splashing of the 'Uhlbach' river - enabling even the most restless of sleepers to have a relaxing night's sleep.
You reach the Starry Sky holiday apartment via the ‘triple’ by climbing a second staircase. The cosy apartment has room for 2-7 people with bright and spacious rooms in the attic of the house under the typical towering Black Forest hipped roof.
Starry Sky includes a cosy living-dining room with a Smart TV, a bedroom with a superking-sized bed and a single bed, a bedroom with a superking-sized bed and a bunk bed, as well as availability of a cot and baby and children’s equipment.
A bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet, washing machine and hairdryer leaves nothing else to be desired.
The built-in kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, a bean-to-cup-machine, as well as a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.
The price includes WiFi, bed linen, table linen, hand towels, tea towels, electricity and water, heating and final cleaning.
Children up to two years of age are free of charge
For a short break of up to 3 days we charge an additional final cleaning fee of 40,- €. We also kindly ask you to provide your own bedsheets or we alternatively can provide them for 5,- € per bed.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING YOU
When you look out of the window towards the Uhlbach valley, you can even see hand-split wooden shingles from the century before last. Wood shingle roofs were common in the Black Forest area at the same time as thatched roofs were.
Apartment Swallow’s Nest
For centuries swallows have been an integral part of Black Forest Houses and common house mates. Their favourite nesting sites can still be found under our roofs even today. You can watch them in early summer during the breeding season and while taking care of their offspring.
If you like it cosy, the Swallow’s Nest apartment will be right up your street. The recently extended apartment suitable for 2-5 people comprises a cosy living area with an adjoining bedroom and a superking-size bed. Adjoining is another bedroom with a superking-size bed and living area. The skylight window gives unhindered access to the starry sky in the evening and makes the need for a television redundant. However if you desire to stay up to date with the latest news and entertainment, you will find a Smart-TV as well as free WiFi at your disposal. A cot and baby equipment are also available if required.
The compact fitted kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, an electric hob, a microwave, an air-fryer, as well as a bean-to-cup coffee machine. A private hallway leads to the adjoining bathroom with shower facilities.
The price also includes bed linen, table linen, hand towels, tea towels, electricity and water, heating and final cleaning.

After an exhilarating winter day in the enchanted snowy landscape of the Black Forest, our holiday apartments are the ideal place to relax and warm up with a nice cup of tea.
Stork’s Nest apartment
Storks protect their youngsters with their large wings protruding far over the nest - like the roof of a traditional Black Forest farmhouse. In the Stork’s Nest apartment you will still find some of these typical Black Forestian elements. For example the dark ceiling beams, which hundreds of years ago were stained black by passing smoke from the open log fires - now long replaced by central heating.
If you are taller than 1,80m (5’11”) you might have to duck a bit in this apartment thanks to the traditionally low ceiling beams. The recently renovated holiday apartment combines the old with the new and offers a comfortable space for up to five people.
It includes a cosy living area with satellite TV, a fully fitted kitchen equipped with an electric hob and fridge/freezer, as well as an adjoining dining area.
The two separate bedrooms with cosy superking-sized beds guarantee a good night sleep. A cot as well as baby and children’s equipment are also available upon request. The apartment also offers two separate bathrooms with shower facilities and a hair dryer.
